Kipchumba Karori volleyball tournament enters quarters, semis

172 teams took part in the tournament which has attracted huge crowds of fans.

The second day of the Kipchumba Karori International Volleyball tournament will see quarters and semifinal matches played in various categories.

In the primary girls, Soin will face off with Kosachei while Cheptikit will battle with St Augustine in the semifinals.

Soin defeated St Augustine by 3:0 sets while Cheptikit beat Kipkongorwa with the same margin of sets.

Chebororo lost 1:3 to Kosachei while Bishop Muge won 3:2 against Moss.

In the quarter’s primary category, Soin won 3:1 against Moss while Cheptikit triumphed 3:0 sets against Kosachei.

Kosachei beat Kipkongorwa 3:0 sets while Bishop Muge won 3:2 sets against St Augustine.

In the boy’s primary category semifinals, Bishop Muge will face off with Hill School while the second semifinal will feature FTL vs St Augustine.

During the quarter-finals primary, Bishop Muge won 3:0 against St Luke's while St Augustine won 3:0 against Chepkuyi. FTL beat Kosachei 3:0 as Hill School won 3:0 against Sangalo.

In the Girls Secondary preliminaries, Kesogon won 3:2 against Savanah while Cheptil lost 0:3 to Mwitoti.

Mwitoti later lost 3:0 to Kaptitony while Kaptitony lost 0:3 to Cheptil

In the semis, Kesogon won 3:0 against Cheptil while Mwitoti won 3:0 against Savanah.

In the Playoffs, Savanh will face off with Cheptil after which Mwitoti will square out with Kesogon.

In the Boy's Secondary category, Cheptil beat St Patrick's Iten 3:0 sets while Chepsaita won 3:0 against Tuiyo.

Bokoli lost 0:3 sets against Andersen while Cheptil B won 3:0 against Bokoli.

Kisawai won 3:0 sets against St Patrick’s Iten while Lelmokwo won 3:0 sets against Tuiyo.

In the semifinals, Sang'alo will face off with Kisawa while Cheptil A won 3:0 against Mutuot.

In other semifinal matches, Andersen will face off with Chepsaita as Lelmokwo takes on Cheptil B

In the college’s preliminaries for women, UOE won 3:1 sets against Koitalel and RVTTI won 3:1 against Koitalel.  MMUST won 3:0 sets against E. Africa

In the semis, MMUST will take on UOE as RVTTI battles with E. Africa

In the men’s colleges’ category, MMUST beat Moi University 3:2 and again won 3:1 against UOE.

LVTU won 3:1 sets against E.Africa while Moi easily carried 3:0 sets against UOE. LVTU also won 3:0 sets against E. Africa

In the semifinals, MMUST will take on E. Africa while LUTU will take on Moi University in the semi’s match.

The Saturday events will lead to an entertaining finals of the tournament expected to be played on Sunday at the Eldoret National Polytechnic.

Patron of the event Kipchumba Karori will be present alongside other invited guests.
