Nairobi United beat Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet 1-0 to halt their impressive run in the National Super League.

Nairobi United scored through youngster Dancun Omalla, who increased his goal tally to five, after nine outings.

Nairobi United coach Edwin Mwaura said: “We are still not yet where we want to be despite the narrow win. There is still a lot of work to be done.”

He added: “It was a good game. APS played well too but it was our day. We now focus on our next game against Fortune Sacco at Kianyaga. It will be another tough encounter but our focus will be picking a positive result.”

Mwaura once again hailed Omalla. “This boy is super talented. He is destined for bigger things in future,” said Mwaura. Following the win, Nairobi United moved to 19 points on the log.

Fortune Sacco maintained their lead at the top of the log after a hard-fought 1-0 win over SS Assad.

Mugane Elias scored the crucial goal for the visitors in the dying minutes of the game. Fortune Sacco lead the log with 20 points followed by Nairobi United on 19 points while APS Bomet dropped to the third position.

At the Den in Kajiado, newcomers 3K FC saw off Dimba Patriots 2-0. Samuel Wahinya grabbed a brace for 3K FC.’

Paul Ogai’s Darajani Gogo beat hosts Vihiga United 2-1 at Mumias Sports Complex. Ian Motanda scored twice for Darajani Gogo while Brandon Mweresa scored the consolation for Vihiga United.  Motanda has now scored four goals for Darajani Gogo.

Struggling Nzoia Sugar upset Andrew Ongwae’s Samwest Blackboots 1-0 at Vapour ground in Ngong. Ian Simiyu scored the all-import goal for the cane millers.

Migori Youth came from a goal down to beat the Michael Olunga Foundation Academy (MOFA) 2-1 at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.

Collins Neto gave MOFA the lead before Churchill Otieno equalised for Migori Youth. Second-half substitute Eric Majura grabbed the winning goal for Migori Youth at the death.

The Mombasa derby between Mombasa Stars and Mombasa United ended in a barren draw at Serani playground.

On Saturday, Kisumu All Stars battled to a barren draw against Muhoroni Youth while Naivas and Kibera Black Stars also drew 0-0.
