As the year nears to comes to an end, the Kenya Kwanza government officials retreated to summarize the year's work.

President William Ruto opened the two-day retreat at the Edge Convention Center in South B, Nairobi on November 16, 2023.

The aim of the retreat was for the government to reflect on the past one year and look at the hits and misses.

Cabinet members, principal secretaries, and advisors will all be in attendance, with each ministry expected to outline its hits and misses for the year and discuss how they can improve to deliver on their campaign promises.

The Star has established that the choice of the venue, Edge Convention Center in South B was aimed at cutting down travel costs and accommodation for the state officials.

The first kind of such meeting took place in January in Nanyuki.

The retreat comes at a time when there are cries by Kenyans over the skyrocketing cost of living.
