President William Ruto on Monday held a meeting with political leaders from Meru county ahead of his visit to the county later this week.
The meeting was held at the State House in Nairobi.
The talks centered on national government programmes in the county.
During Madaraka day fete, Ruto said the Kenya Kwanza government is looking to develop every county, to unite the country.
"Sababu yetu ya kusambaza maendeleo kila sehemu ya Kenya ni kwa sababu tunataka umoja (The reason we are developing across Kenya is because we want to bring unity)," he said.
