Deputy President William Ruto is currently meeting over 100 elected members of the National Assembly and senators allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
The DP is hosting the legislators at his Karen residence, a few days after he was blocked from leaving the country for a private visit to Uganda.
In the parliamentary group meeting, the UDA leaders will discuss the prevailing political situation in the country and the 2022 campaign roadmap.
They are also expected to issue a statement later in the day on the resolutions they will have made in the meeting.
Soy MP Caleb Kositany who is a close ally of the DP declined to disclose the agenda.
"The meeting is there but you will have to wait until tomorrow. We will issue a statement," Kositany said on Wednesday.
MPs Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu), Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) and David Sankok also confirmed the meeting.
"We confirm there is a meeting tomorrow but we don’t know the agenda. We don’t want to pre-empt," Ichung’wa said.
MPs previously afraid to declare their support for the Deputy President for fear of reprisal, are expected to be at the meeting.
The meeting is closed to outsiders and the press.
