Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is mourning the death of his mother-in-law Mama Afia Juma.
In a statement on Thursday, Moi remembered the mother to his wife as a humble but strict mother-in-law.
"I saddened by the passing on of Mama Afia Juma - mother to my wife Zara Moi," he said.
"She was a humble, introspective yet strict mother-in-law. May Allah rest her soul in peace."

Mama Afia passed away on Thursday morning.
KANU Secretary General, Nick Salat, condoled with the family stating that her death is indeed devastating.
"The passing away early today of Mama Afia Juma, the mother to Zahra Moi who is the wife of our National Chairman Gideon Moi, is indeed devastating. May Allah grant Zahra Moi and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss," he said.
