ODM leader Raila Odinga on Sunday convened a housekeeping Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance meeting at Cotu Secretary-general Francis Atwoli's Ildamat home in Kajiado county.
The meeting was meant to discuss emerging issues in the coalition and also chart a way forward for that coalition ahead of the August 9, polls.
Atwoli, who hosted the meeting, told the Star that they were ironing out a few issues in the coalition.
He also said they discussed ways of ensuring the coalition is united post-party primaries that have over the years proved to be divisive.
At the meeting were Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Jubilee Vice-Chair David Murathe, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Former Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju, Former Westlands MP Fred Gumo and Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe.
The meeting came at a time when the ODM party is conducting party primaries in some parts of the country.
The party is also holding consensus meetings in choosing its candidates.
The primaries have led to divisions within the party leading to some members quitting to seek alternatives.
This is after a section of leaders was handed direct tickets after the party became certain that their candidature is stronger than the rest.
Leaders who missed out on the ticket have publicly said universal suffrage should have been used to determine candidates, something the party is seemingly avoiding in some posts.
