Ruto to commission affordable housing project in Ongata Rongai

President William Ruto will on Tuesday inspect the Kings Serenity Affordable Housing Programme project in Ongata Rongai.

The Kings serenity project is one of its kind in Rongai. They include two bedroom apartments.

The serenity homes are also part of the Boma Yangu whose main agenda is to provide affordable housing to Kenyans .

Early this month, Ruto said the Government will streamline the affordable housing programme to make home ownership a reality for low income earners.

The head of state said he will work with legislators and development partners to find the most viable formula of achieving the affordable housing plan.

While  inspecting  the ongoing affordable and social housing project at the former Meteorological (MET) Site in Nairobi, he announced that his government will set up 500,000 affordable units countrywide.
