Police raise concern over rising cases of mob lynching
Police say some victims have been found to be innocent
The owner of the garage they working in has been arrested for questioning over the incident.

Two mechanics at a garage in Ruai area, Nairobi were attacked and killed over claims of siphoning fuel from vehicles at the facility in Ruai, Nairobi.
The two were employees at the facility and were Monday afternoon accused of siphoning fuel from cars parked there in order ro sell, police said.
This prompted some of the workers there to raise an alarm, which led to the attack on the two. They died at the scene.
The parents of the deceased reported the two had been beaten to death at the facility.
A team of police visited the scene and found two lifeless bodies inside the garage with visible multiple injuries inflicted by blunt objects.
They were identified as John Oduor Otieno and Emmanuel Oduor Martin who were both employees of the said facility.
Police said two suspects were arrested over the incident. They are being questioned for murder, police said.
Police said the suspects would have arrested and surrendered the two to authorities for processing.
Cases of mob lynching have been on the rise in the country with police calling on the public to avoid the same.
They want the suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing and possible prosecution.
Past such cases have seen some suspects being arrested and charged with murder.
Mob is a criminal offence according to the Kenyan law.
Elsewhere in Emuhaya, Vihiga County, the body of a man was found outside his house after a suspected murder.
The incident happened in Ebulinji village, police said.
Police said the body was found with several cuts on the head.
Police officers visited the scene where they found the body of an unknown male adult lying inside a maize plantation with deep cuts on the head bleeding profusely.
The body was moved to Rabuor Mission Hospital mortuary pending autopsy and identification.
No arrest has been made so far in connection with the Monday incident.
