A Kibera court has sentenced a famous AIC pastor to 20 years in jail for defiling his biological daughter.

QP was sentenced barely days after the court found him guilty of the offense he is said to have committed between 2008 and 2014.

While reading his verdict, Kibera senior principal magistrate Derrick Kuto noted that the offense of defilement was proved.

He faulted the accused person for defiling the said minor instead of giving her parental love.

Kuto said the accused’s defense held no ground.

“This defense has no basis and is well scripted, the law must do justice to the victim in this case, the accused person is therefore convicted as charged,” Kuto said.

“From the witness who testified in court together with the medical reports availed before the court alongside other factors that the court has considered, I sentence the accused person to 20 years in jail.”

He however gave the accused person 14 days to appeal the verdict if he wished to do so.

According to the charge sheet, the accused person committed the offense on diverse dates between 2008 and 2014 at the veterinary area in Kajiado North within Kajiado County.

He unlawfully and intentionally defiled his biological daughter contrary to the Sexual Offences Act.

The accused was charged with a second count of committing an indecent act with a child contrary to the law.

The probation report portrayed the accused person as a dangerous person who needed to be kept away from society despite his mitigation that he was a humble and apologetic man.

In his mitigation, the accused person pleaded with the court to have mercy on him and in his defense told the court that the charges were fabricated.

The girl too testified in court and narrated how the accused person preyed on her.

“He took a kitchen knife and placed it on my neck, he later defiled me and threatened me. He threatened to kill me if I dared to tell anyone including my mother,” he told the court.

She told the court that the accused person defiled her from the age of eight until she turned 14.

“When I reached Std 7, we were taught about sex education and I decided to share with a friend the experience I had with my father on sex matters. My friend leaked the information to my teacher who later informed the principal and I was called to the office,” she told the court.

She told the court that the accused person was later called to the school.

“He came with the CRE textbook. I saw him at the school administration block and he looked worried,” she added.
