Kenya Kwanza and Azimio leaders have begun trooping to Bomas of Kenya for the much-anticipated talks between government and opposition side.
Senate Majority leader Aaron Cheruiyot and Hassan Omar arrived together and were ushered to the room where talks will be held.
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, former Murang'a governor Mwangi wa Iria, Ex CS Eugene Wamalwa, former Ndaragua MP Jeremiah Kioni, Roots party leader George Wajackoyah have arrived at the venue.
The talks are aimed at resolving the impasse between the government and the opposition after a spate of protests that have led to loss of lives and injuries to innocent Kenyans.
President William Ruto has maintained that they are only open for talks and to even agree with the Opposition on issues bedeviling the country and nothing else.
Kenya Kwanza has listed the reconstitution of the IEBC Commission, implementation of two-thirds gender rule, the entrenchment of the Constituency Development Fund and the establishment, entrenchment of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition and embedment of the Office of Prime Cabinet Secretary.
On the other hand, Azimio wants the cost of living, audit of the 2022 Presidential election results, restructuring and reconstitution of the IEBC and related matters to form part of the agenda.
