The Council of Governors will today hold an extraordinary meeting to deliberate on key issues affecting County Governments.

Internal PS Raymond Omollo will be the Chief Guest at the high-level multi-agency security teams workshop.

Catholic Private Educational Institutions Conference.
The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission for Education and Religious Education will be hosting the Catholic Private Educational Institutions (CaPEIA) Conference.
The Conference will take place at the Pope Paul VI Learners Resource Centre, Catholic University of Eastern Africa, (CUEA)from 8 am.
It is scheduled to take place from April 16 to April 18, 2024.

The Regional Education Learning Initiative, Africa (RELI Africa) in collaboration with JASLIKA will be co-hosting a Convening on Tuesday.
It will be under the theme: "From Data and Commitment to Action: Creating a Movement for Girls’ Education."
The conference will be held at the KCB Leadership Centre in Nairobi from April 16, 2024, to 18.
Court to issue directions on Affordable Housing Act.
The High Court is set to issue directions in a case in which 22 senators led by Busia's Okiya Omtatah are challenging the implementation of the new Affordable Housing Act.
Justice Chacha Mwita had directed Omtatah and the petitioners to serve their papers on the respondents in the case by April 10.
The senators and seven other human rights defenders have specifically taken issue with a section of the new Act that seeks to appoint the Commissioner General of KRA as the collector of the affordable housing levy, and sections 4 and 5 of the Act, which impose the levy.
Directions on Nakuru-based doctor challenging Affordable housing.
The court will issue directions in a similar case filed by Nakuru based doctor Benjamin Gikenyi.
The doctor in his papers says the Act has failed to appreciate that some Kenyans "wameshajipanga na housing"
He has also faulted them for "the blatant dismissal of the results of the public participation process", saying they impose a levy which the majority of Kenyans are opposed to.
Inheritance row of late John Keen Sh13 billion estate
The High Court will today mention a case in which the family of late veteran politician John Keen is fighting over his estate worth Sh13 billion.
The war rages on despite a detailed will that Keen wrote before he died in 2015.
