President William Ruto has reiterated his commitment to uniting Kenyans and ensuring that no community, region, or group is excluded from national development.
Speaking during a church service in Bungoma, Ruto emphasised the importance of overcoming divisive practices such as ethnic discrimination and hatred to build a cohesive and prosperous nation.
“We must avoid things of hatred, divisiveness, ethnic discrimination, and all those other things,” Ruto stated.
“I want to assure you that my work as the President of Kenya is to encourage unity among all Kenyans, so we can walk together as one people and complete the plans that will transform Kenya.”
The President underscored his administration’s focus on inclusivity, assuring Kenyans that no one would be isolated in the journey toward national progress.
"I want to give assurance to all Kenyans that there's no community that is going to be isolated, there is no region that is going to be isolated, there is no county that is going to be left behind, there is no religion that is going to be left behind, we are going to move together, as one people, as one nation with a common destiny," he added.
He urged Kenyans to set aside divisions and unite to ensure the success of development initiatives that aim to uplift every part of the country.
Speaking on ANC, UDA merge, Ruto said they united in the spirit of unity.
"We are not uniting either as parties, or even under the broad-based arrangement, or against other Kenyans, or against other regions, or community or person, we are uniting with all Kenyans because in unity there is strength. In fact, God commands us that where there is unity, God commands a blessing," he concluded.
