Hundreds of youthful protesters have taken to the streets of Mombasa to continue pushing for total rejection of the Finance Bill 2024.

The street demonstration along Moi Avenue comes a day after President Ruto rejected to sign the Bill and referred it back to the National Assembly with a recommendation to delete all clauses.

However, the Mombasa youth on Thursday said they had no faith in the President's speech of Wednesday evening.

"Kenyans are tired of being taken round in circles," said Brian Mutuku, a youth activist.

James Ongare, yet another youth activist, said the President should address the real issue.

"The real issue is that corruption is eating this country. If you see the magnitude of young people coming out to fight for their right, do not kill them," said Ongare.

The protesters have vowed to waĺk to State House Mombasa.

They are now along Moi Avenue walking towards Mombasa central business district.
