The regional Hearth Summit 2024 has begun in Nairobi.

The two-day summit brings together at least 300 change makers to discuss well-being and lay a roadmap for collective action for the well-being of society.

The summit is being hosted by Wellbeing Project and Axum.

The summit brings together a diverse group of industry visionaries, innovators, and dedicated professionals committed to shaping societal well-being.

The summit offers two days of impactful conversations and connections with like-minded change-makers striving for positive change.

It will see participants engage in inspiring talks, dynamic panel discussions, artistic performances, and immersive art experiences centred on wellbeing.

The summit will offer 300 participants a transformative space to reflect critically on well-being through a uniquely Kenyan lens.

These include how local political, economic, judicial and social structures enable or limit well-being.

They will also have a space to examine wellbeing through a systems change lens — discussing the symbiotic relationship of the systems and practices that impact wellbeing at the individual, collective and planetary levels.

Some of the key speakers expected during the summit include Chief Justice Martha Koome and Nyeri Archbishop Anthony Muheria.

Others include Managing Director, Africa and Global Partnerships, World Resources Institute Wanjira Mathai and Edwin Macharia, Partner, Axum Kenya; The Wellbeing Project’s Advisory Board.

Some of the topics to be discussed include restorative justice, faith and well-being, ecological belonging and intergenerational well-being.
