Two suspects were arrested Sunday after police recovered a pistol loaded with 10 bullets hidden under stones in Kamukunji, Nairobi.
The Czeska pistol belongs to the Kenya Police and it is unclear how it found its way to the site.
A group of boys who were playing football near the site called the police after sighting it.
Police from the Railways police station visited the scene and confirmed it was a pistol hidden there.
According to police, the boys had followed the ball to the site when they sighted it and raised an alarm.
It was then that two suspects were arrested over the recovery with police stating they were helping them to know how the weapon was hidden there.
