Three people have died in separate road accidents in Meru, Busia and Kilifi counties.
In Meru, a motor vehicle was involved in an accident along Kina-Garbatula Road in Albert Meru area on November 15, 2024.
The driver was carrying two passengers.
A police report indicates that the motor vehicle got a rear left tyre burst while negotiating a corner and rolled twice on the road landing on its right side.
As a result of the accident, the driver sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.
The two other passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Garbatula sub-county hospital for medical treatment.
The body of the deceased was taken to Nyambene Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The multivehicle was towed to the police station where it is awaiting inspection.
In Busia County, the accident occurred along the Bumala-Port Victoria road in the Mundere area on Saturday.
The accident involved an unregistered motorcycle that was riding from Nambengele towards Port Victoria's general direction.
In the process, it had a head-on collision with an oncoming motorcycle carrying two passengers.
Due to the impact of the accident, one rider sustained severe head injuries and died on the sport.
The other rider with his two passengers sustained injuries head and were all rushed to the Port Victoria sub-county hospital for medical treatment.
The body of the deceased was moved to the same facility morgue waiting for postmortem.
The two motorcycles were towed to the police station for inspection.
In Kilifi, the accident occurred along Kilifi-Malindi Road in the Mkoroshoni area on Saturday.
According to the police report, a motor vehicle was driving from Malindi towards Kilifi, when it collided with an unknown motorcycle which was carrying a passenger.
As a result of the accident, the rider sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot.
The passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kilifi County hospital for treatment.
The body of the deceased was taken to the same facility morgue for postmortem.
The motorcycle was taken from the scene by unknown individuals, the police are still tracing it.
