Moi Girls High School Eldoret is celebrating improved results in the just released KCSE exams. The school had 32 As, and 100 candidates scored A-out of 417 candidates who sat for the exams at the school last year.

The principal of the school, Juliana Kirui, said they were excited with the performance, which was far better than the previous year.  The school had only 7 As the previous year

“I thank the school board, teachers, and our candidates for the teamwork that has enabled us to get better results," she said.

She said the candidates for last year were committed to their studies, leading to the good results.

One of the students at the school, Joy Busolo Esendi, who scored A with 83 points, said she was grateful for her teachers and parents because they supported her and other candidates to succeed.

“We are grateful to our teachers, led by the principal, and also parents for the support we received to get good results," Joy said.

She plans to study medicine mainly because her mother had been sick at the time she was sitting for her exams.

“My mother is still unwell, and I want to study medicine so that I can help her and other Kenyans," she said.
