KPLC: Areas in 12 counties to face power cuts Tuesday

The utility firm said the power interruption is to facilitate system maintenance

Kenya Power has listed areas in 12 counties scheduled for power interruption on Tuesday.

The power interruption will occur between 8 am and 5 pm in the different counties.

The utility firm said the power interruption is to facilitate system maintenance.

The counties to be affected are Nairobi, West Pokot, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kakamega, Homa Bay, Meru, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang’a, Kilifi, and Mombasa counties.

Nairobi

Parts of Nairobi will experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

The areas include Light Academy, Fair Acres, Marist Road, Hillcrest, Silanga Road, Don Bosco, St. Hellen, John Kin, Karen C Primary and Secondary, Kuwinda Road, Kuwinda Estate, Kufuga Road, Japanese School, Nairobi Academy, Forest Edge, Mokoyet East, Mokoyet West, Nairobi North Road, Murishu Road, Stedmak, Mukinduri Road, Kiota School and part of Langata Road.

At the same time, areas including part of Nyeri Road, Makindu Road, Kikambala, Suguta Road, Part of Othaya Road, Migori Road, Kaputei Gardens, Mwingi Road, Hamisi Road, Vihiga Road, Mazeras Road, Mbooni and  adjacent customers.

Other areas in Nairobi to face power interruption include Dandora Girls Secondary, Dandora Phase 1, 2, 4 and 5, Gitari Marigu, Korogocho, Part of Kamunde Road, Margaret Kenyatta Hospital, Part of Komarock Road and Councilor Opondo Road.

Other parts of Nairobi to face power interruption include Pipeline East, Pipeline Stage, Quickmart at Pipeline, Amazon, Pebbles Hotel, Aston Villa, National Oil Outer Ring Road, PCEA Pipeline, Modern Hospital at Pipeline, Tumaini East, Avenue Park 1 and 2 Ess and adjacent customers.

West Pokot

Areas in West Pokot will experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

The areas include Karas, Kapkoris, Kamatira, Chepareria, Chepkobe, Chepnyal and adjacent customers.

Uasin Gishu

Parts of Uasin Gishu are set to experience power interruption from 9am to 4pm.

They include Outspan, Ancila, Bethel, Rehema and adjacent customers.

Nandi

Parts of Nandi will face power interruption from 9.30 a.m. to 5pm.

Areas to be affected are Yala, Kaimosi, Chepkumia, and adjacent customers.

Kakamega

Parts of Kakamega will face power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are Musoli Market, Khaega Market, Sigalagala Tech, Bukura College, Akatsa Market, and adjacent customers.

Homa Bay

Areas in Homa Bay to face power interruption from 9am to 4pm include Whole of Oyugis Town, Gamba Market, Nyabola Girls, Nyangiela Centre, Kuoyo Market, Mathenge Market, God Ber Secondary School, and adjacent customers.

Meru

Parts of Meru set to experience power cuts from 8am to 5pm are Muthara Market, Muriri Market, Mbaranga Market, Karama Market, Kangeta Market, Maili Tatu, KK, Laare, Mutuati, Kabachi, Antu-Betwe, Meru National Park, Njoune, Kiutine, Igembe/Kiegoi T/Facts, Maua Town, Maua General Hospital, Kindani, Rhino Camp, Kiengu Bakeries, Maua Methodist Hosp, Athi, Amwamba, Kinna, Garbatulla, and Benane.

Laikipia

Areas in Laikipia set for power disruption from 8.30am to 4.30pm include Colour Crops, Turraco, Kalalu Farm, Ibis Farm, Greenland Farm, GAW, Sirimon, Umande, Mumeru, Ngenia, Mia Moja, Kithithina, Timau, Ngusishi and Maritati.

Meru

Parts of Nyeri to experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm are Kiamabara Market, Matira-Ini Village, Mungetho Market, Karema-Ini Village, Ihiga Village, Gachiara Village, Kieni C/Fact, Nduru Village, Kirigu Village, Safaricom Boosters, and Airtel Boosters.

At the same time, areas including Kiganjo Police College, Kiganjo S/Center, Kirichu Market, Wangi Water Project, Ndurutu, Maisha Flour Mills Limited, Kiganjo NCPB, Kagumo High School, Gachika and Syfad Hotel will experience power interruption.

Murang’a

Areas in Murang’a will face power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

The areas include Kenol Town, Kimorori Village, Kagaa Village, Keit Exporters, Equity Bank Kenol, Quivers Kenol, Kilele Mall, Magunas S/ Market, KCB Kenol, Golden Palm Hotel, County S/ Market Kenol, Small Villa Restaurants, Kenol Law Courts, Kenol Sub-County Offices, and adjacent customers.

Kilifi

Parts of Kilifi County will experience power interruption from 9am to 3pm.

The areas include Parts of Mwatate Town, Soko ya Zamani, Kenyatta High School, Parts of Kipusi and  Josa.

Mombasa

Areas in Mombasa will face power interruption from 9am to 3pm.

They are State House, Fort Jesus, Uhuru na Kazi, Mombasa Hospital, County Offices, KWS, County Commissioners Office, Law Courts, David Kayanda Road, Old Port, Forodhani, Maadara Grounds, Salmanji, KEBS and Ndia Kuu.
