President William Ruto's week-long tour of Nairobi City County enters its second day today.Today's programme will see him traverse Mathare and Ruaraka constituencies to inspect and launch various development projects.His tour will commence at St Teresa secondary school in Mathare where he is scheduled to launch the construction of a 800-bed dormitory and later break the ground for the construction of 12 classrooms at Mabatini Primary School.Thereafter, he will inspect the construction of classrooms at Mathare mixed secondary school, launch the construction of TVET college, last mile connectivity project and later break the ground for the construction of affordable housing project at Kosovo. In Ruaraka, he will inspect the construction of Mathare gateway market and launch construction of classrooms at TJ Kajwang Mathare North Secondary School.He is also expected to commission the deputy county commissioner's office in Mathare North and wrap up by holding a public rally at Thika Road in RoySambu constituency.Ruto commenced the tour Monday in Kamukunji constituency.

Case against ex-GDC officials proceeds
An Anticorruption court will today proceed with the hearing of a Sh42 million graft case facing former officials of the Geothermal Development Company (GDC).
The case commenced on Monday, March 10 with a witness testifying in court that the process leading to the award of a Sh42 million tender for rig move services was fully compliant with the law.
Pamela Ouma, who is currently Chief Officer supply chain at GDC and who sat at the tender committee, explained to the anti-corruption court that all legal requirements were met during the tendering process.
