Transparency International Kenya will today launch a report dubbed 'Rubber Meets the Road' which is an assessment of the impact of anti-corruption laws and institutions in Kenya.
The report critically examines the country's anti-corruption framework, assessing its effectiveness in combating graft and enhancing governance.
The study highlights key legislative and institutional gaps, enforcement challenges and the role of ethics and public participation in addressing corruption.
The findings provide actionable recommendations aimed at strengthening accountability mechanisms, improving frameworks and fostering ethical leadership.

International Day for the Right to the Truth
The National Victims and Survivors Network (NVSN), Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), and the Kenya Transitional Justice Network (KTJN), including Utu Wetu Trust, will today commemorate the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims.
This year’s theme, "Reparation Now!", will spotlight the continued quest for justice by victims and survivors of historical injustices, political violence, and recent human rights violations.
The event will bring together key political and human rights figures to discuss the long-overdue implementation of the Sh10 billion Restorative Justice Fund and other measures for truth, justice, and reparation.
ODM leader Raila Odinga, Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah, Willis Otieno and other Representatives from KNCHR, IMLU, ICJ, and other stakeholders Survivors of post-election violence and historical injustice are expected to attend.
Expected outcomes include appraisal from state actors on the implementation of the TJRC Report and the stalled Restorative Justice Fund.
Guests will also give their perspectives from political leaders on accountability, reparation, and commitments in the Kenya Kwanza 2022 Manifesto, NADCO report, and recent UDA-ODM MoU.
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) and the East African Communications Organisation (EACO) will host the 7th EACO regional conference on sustainable e-waste management in the East Africa region.
The event seeks to foster discussions on sustainable e-waste management in the region and will draw participants from the EAC community.
