Elvis Murakana NamenyaNakuru Governor Susan Kihika joined other leaders in mourning the death of Elvis Murakana Namenya, the son of Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi.
The Governor expressed her sympathies and offered a message of comfort to the MP’s family, asking God to grant Elachi and her family peace and comfort to bear with the loss of her son.
“My deepest condolences to my sister Hon Beatrice Elachi on the loss of your dear son Elvis Murakana,” she posted on her social media handle.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this time of great sadness. May the Lord grant you sustaining grace, peace and comfort through this difficult time.”
She joins several leaders, including President William Ruto, who have condoled with the lawmaker after her son passed on Tuesday under unclear circumstances.
“May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Rest In Peace, Elvis,” Ruto said.
The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) also sent its condolences to the family.
“May God grant Hon Beatrice Elachi and family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. It is such a huge loss to Mheshimiwa. As a party, we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief."
