Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has said President
William Ruto and his allies will visit the Mt Kenya region at any time, adding
that the region deserves to be served like any other part of the country.
Sudi has told off critics of the
current regime for what he termed an attempt to lock the region out of the
government because of selfish tribal politics.
The MP said the Mt Kenya region
contributed to the Kenya Kwanza administration and cannot be misled by selfish
individuals into rejecting President Ruto.
“Mt Kenya people are the ones who
created this government, and we are telling the critics that we are now coming
whether they like it or not,” said Sudi.
Sudi accused some leaders in the
opposition of attempting to poison Kenyans with tribal politics, which does not
help the country in any way.
He said some of them were chased
away from the government because of tribal politics, adding that no one will
determine which leaders can visit the Mt Kenya region.
“We are going to Mt Kenya. Residents
have a right to be served by the government they elected. We are not begging
anyone to allow us to go to the Mt Kenya region,” said Sudi.
He was speaking during the issuance
of bursary cheques at Wareng High School in Eldoret, where Gatundu North MP Njoroge
Kuroria was the chief guest.
Kuroria said tribal politics had no
place in Kenya and that the Mt Kenya region did not have a different president.

“Ruto is the president of Kenya,
including the Mt Kenya region. We will all welcome him to Mt Kenya as our
president, and he doesn’t need to ask anyone before coming to the region,” said
Kuroria.
The MP said opposition leaders are
free to engage in politics, but for Ruto, he is focused on serving the whole
country.
“We will support the president until
he completes his term, and he is welcome to visit any part of Kenya at any
time,” said Kuroria.
Sudi also said his constituency
bursary kitty had been increased every year, with over Sh37 million given out
this year as bursaries.
He urged the youth to focus on
education and avoid engaging in drug and alcohol abuse, which has caused the
premature deaths of many young people.
“As young people, if you want to succeed
in life, then focus on learning and avoid abusing drugs and alcohol, which will
ruin your lives,” said Sudi.
