Caren Auma, the widow of George Oduor, former Raila Odinga’s aide, has poured her heart out in remembrance of her husband.

In an emotional tribute, Auma described how his late husband observed discipline and sacrifice throughout his service, capturing both the weight he carried and the unwavering strength with which he bore it.

“I watched you carry so much on your shoulders,” she wrote.

“And yet you still found time to laugh, to check in on me, to make life lighter- even when yours felt heavy.”

Auma’s heartfelt tribute painted a picture of a man who gave his all- to his work, to his family, and to everyone around him.

George, she said, embodied quiet strength and selflessness, always putting others before himself, always showing up even when the burden was great.

“Beyond the title and roles, it is who you were at home that meant the most,” she said.

She also spoke of a man who bore great burdens with grace and balanced discipline and duty with laughter and warmth.

Despite the demands of his work, she said George remained present and deeply caring at home.

“You made life feel safe. You made our home feel whole.”

Auma went to recount how he would always check in on her, even from afar, and how his love and patience defined their partnership.

“You were a partner who showed up with love, patience, and pride.”

Auma further acknowledged the profound impact George had on others, saying he touched so many lives.

“I have seen the impact of your kindness and dedication in the stories people have shared,” she said, finding comfort in the legacy he leaves behind.”
