Job seekers have a fresh opportunity after the Public Service Commission (PSC) declared the position of Vice Chancellor at Kibabii University vacant.

Also, the Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) has launched a recruitment drive for administrative staff and graduate scholarship positions.

In a notice, the PSC invited qualified candidates to apply for the Kibabii University Vice Chancellor position under Vacancy No. 139/2026, with applications accepted online through the PSC website and jobs portal, by hand delivery to Commission House on Harambee Avenue in Nairobi, or by registered mail addressed to the Secretary/CEO of the Public Service Commission.

The commission also cautioned applicants against fraudsters, stressing that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, including applications, shortlisting, interviews or appointments.

At the same time, Meru University of Science and Technology has advertised multiple vacancies for administrative and technical staff as it seeks to strengthen its workforce.

The available positions include Clinical Officer III, Nursing Officer III, Medical Laboratory Technologists, Pharmaceutical Technologist III, ICT Officers, ICT Technicians and Drivers.

The university has also opened scholarship opportunities for Graduate Assistants in Power Systems, Electronics, Telecommunications, ICT, Mechatronics and Electrical Machines. Additional vacancies are available for Technicians and Technologists in Renewable Energy, Smart Grid, High Voltage and ICT/IT.

MUST said applicants are required to submit hard-copy applications containing a signed application letter, a detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, transcripts, a national identity card or passport, testimonials and other supporting documents.

Applications should be addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Meru University of Science and Technology, P.O. Box 972–60200, Meru, and delivered to the university before the deadline.

Both the PSC and MUST have set Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. (EAT) as the deadline for submitting applications.
