A TOP CIVIL servant has reportedly dispatched a well-oiled lobbying team drawn mainly from the political class, both in government and opposition, to lobby the powers that be to save his soul. Reason? Impending changes in government have thrown him and many other high-profile officials into panic. HAS SOMEONE BEEN pocketing funds intended for a government-sponsored national initiative? Well, a little bird whispered to Corridors of Power that fear has gripped some of the institutions supposed to implement the initiative after insiders raised the alarm. A SENIOR OPERATIVE in the corridors of power is now a happy man and praying the rumors over a possible reshuffle of government officials continues. The man is said to be milking some officials and interested individuals dry, with a promise to help the incumbents retain their positions and hopefuls secure placement. A former lawmaker is said to have lost a fortune to the smooth operator, who claims to have the ears of the powers that be in the current admi- nistration.
