The political heavyweight has previously denied any links to a government job but his associates are said to be negotiating behind the scenes. A meeting was allegedly held last week in which some commitments were tabled with another one in the offing to firm up. The plan is to have the leader cross over to the government side in a move to neutralise his camp ahead of the 2027 polls.
