Russia has outlined six conditions for a ceasefire in its ongoing war against Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022.
The key demands include a ban on Ukraine joining NATO and the removal of NATO peacekeepers from Ukrainian territory.
Additionally, Russia insists that Ukraine must be demilitarized, and other nations must halt the supply of weapons to Kyiv. Another critical demand is that Ukrainian troops operating in Russia's Kursk Oblast must surrender.
Lastly, Russia requires the international community to recognize Crimea and the occupied Donbass regions as Russian territories.
Meanwhile, Washington is advocating for a 30-day immediate ceasefire following discussions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of ongoing international efforts to end the conflict.
