In Summary

President William Ruto said that he took part in saving former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua from being impeached by Members of Parliament.

The President said that he gave the former DP chances two times to redeem himself from what he termed as 'petty conflicts'.

Ruto claimed Gachagua was picking fights with Members of Parliament and other State House leaders.

The president said Gachagua blackmailed him and asked for Sh10 billion to allegedly help him shore up support for him in the Mt Kenya region.

Ruto took time to explain that Gachagua told him to his face that unless he gave him the billions, he would move to force him into a single-term president.
