In Summary






    As of February 2025, English remains the dominant language for web content, accounting for nearly half (49.4 per cent) of all websites.

    Spanish follows at a distant second with 6 per cent, while German (5.6 per cent) and Japanese (5 per cent) secure third and fourth places, respectively.

    French (4.4 per cent) and Russian (3.9 per cent) also hold significant shares, reflecting their global influence.

    Portuguese (3.8 per cent) and Italian (2.7 per cent) highlight the importance of Romance languages online, while Dutch/Flemish (2.1 per cent) and Polish (1.8 per cent) round out the top ten.
