At least four people were Saturday injured when their vehicle was involved in an accident at the screening point at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.
Among those slightly injured was the son of a senior politician, witnesses and police said.
The accident happened at JKIA primary screening yard after a truck driver lost control and hit their car from behind at about 7 am.
Photos taken at the scene show the car badly damaged.
A senior politician was among those who responded to the scene.
The victims were headed for the airport at the time of the accident, police said.
The officers who responded to the scene said the victims were in stable condition in the hospital.
They however did not disclose the identities of the victims.
The accident is being investigated.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was among the Kenyans who reacted to the news, calling for prayers for injured victims.
"The devil is a liar. Quick recovery to all Wiper leaders, including Kalonzo's son, who has just been involved in a road accident at JKIA primary screening yard."A truck driver lost control and hit their car from behind," Sonko alleged via his Facebook page.
