Two male suspects were on Wednesday morning arrested over allegations of trafficking narcotics in the pretense of being passengers in a vehicle. 

Police said the two suspects were ejected from a Nairobi-bound matatu from Busia at the Kangemi flyover, and from them, 16 bales of bhang stashed in their travel bags were seized.

Police said the arrest of the two suspects followed a tip from the public. 

Police said the tip from the public indicated the presence of the illicit cargo at the matatu sacco they were traveling in.

According to police reports, the two suspects have been handed over to Anti-Narcotics detectives based at DCI headquarters for further processing.
