Deputy President Designate Kithure Kindiki on Friday walked from Harambee Office to KICC where he is to be sworn in.
Kindiki was accompanied by his wife Joyce Kithure and his former employees when he was the Interior CS.
Kindiki wore navy blue suit and a red tie as he walked accompanied by his wife who wore a cream skirt and blazer.
The team walked as they had small chats to KICC which is about seven minutes.
Before they left the Harambee House, the team took pictures outside the office as some were seen smiling and happy of the moment.
The team walked through the KICC corridors as they made their way to where Kenyans were seated.
As he walked into the KICC, Kindiki met Speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate, the Chief of Defence Forces, IG and other leaders at KICC.
Kenyans have so far flooded the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) to witness the swearing in of Kindiki as Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.
The swearing in follows the lifting of orders that had barred his assumption of the office by the High Court.
Kindiki will replace Rigathi Gachagua who was impeached. Security has also been beefed up at KICC.
Several leaders including Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, Senators and Members of Parliament among others are present.
