Residents of the Nairobi metropolitan region have been urged to stay prepared for light to moderate rainfall, with occasional heavy showers.
Kenya Meteorological Department said other areas where rainfall is expected include the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands, the Coast and North-eastern Kenya.
This will happen during the first half of the forecast period, which covers November 5 to November 11.
The forecast showed the possibility of isolated storms over some parts of the aforementioned regions.
Met said the second half of the forecast period is likely to be generally sunny and dry.
The weatherman added that the average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in several parts of the country including Northeastern and North-western Kenya.
On the other hand, average night-time (minimum) temperatures will be less than 10°C over some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley and the Central Rift Valley.
According to the regional rainfall forecast, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Rift Valley will have sunny intervals in the mornings though light rains may occur over a few places during the first half of the forecast period.
In the afternoon and night, showers and thunderstorms are expected over a few places occasionally spreading to several places during the first half of the forecast period.
The affected counties include Kisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Busia, Migori, Narok, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet and West-Pokot Counties.
In northwestern Kenya (Turkana and Samburu Counties), sunny intervals are expected during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
However, morning rains and afternoon and night showers and thunderstorms may occur over a few places during the first half of the forecast period.
The forecast shows that in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, there will be morning rains as well as afternoon and night showers over a few places during the first half of the forecast period.
The affected counties include Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Nairobi.
In North-eastern Kenya (Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo Counties), there will be morning rains as well as afternoon and night showers are expected over a few places during the first half of the forecast period.
In the South-eastern lowlands (Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta Counties as well as the inland parts of Tana-River County, the mornings will be characterised by rains as well as afternoon and night showers are expected over few places during the first half of the forecast period.
In the Coast (Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as the coastal parts of Tana-River County), the mornings, afternoons and nights are expected to have showers over a few places during the first half of the forecast period.
