National Land Commission (NLC) CEO Kabale Tache has been recognised with the prestigious Best People-Focused CEO of the Year award.

Tache was voted the Best People-Focused CEO of the Year Award during the Human Resource Awards Gala Dinner organised by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

The award ceremony was held at the Panari Hotel.

Public Service Commission Chairman Anthony Muchiri was the chief guest.

In her acceptance speech, Tache expressed deep appreciation for the committed employees of the NLC, attributing her success to their steadfast support.

"This award belongs to each and every one of you," she declared, highlighting how their teamwork and dedication have empowered her in her role.

While at the helm of NLC, Tache has been accredited with championing people-centered policies and transformative strategies.

"I am profoundly grateful to everyone who believed in my mission and voted for me. Your confidence in my leadership continues to inspire and fuel my commitment to serve."

The CEO also conveyed her gratitude to everyone who voted for her, both within the Commission and beyond.

"Your belief in me, in my passion and enthusiasm, means so much, and I am truly thankful," she remarked, underscoring the significance of community and trust in achieving professional milestones.

The CEO shared an inspiring message with her HR colleagues urging them to chase their dreams with confidence, affirming that self-belief, combined with hard work, can lead to the realization of any aspiration.

She said with determination and support, anything is achievable.

Muchiri challenged HR professionals to look beyond the traditional personnel definition of human resources by understanding the business side of things if they hope to rise to top levels in their organisations.

He also revealed that PSC had deliberately made it easy for HR professionals to become CEOs/managing directors by elevating top HR professionals in government to occupy director levels.
