KPLC lists areas to experience power cuts on Monday

Kenya Power has listed areas in three counties scheduled for power interruption on Monday.

The power interruption will occur between 9 am and 5 pm in the different counties.

The counties to be affected are Nairobi, Meru and Kiambu.

Kenya Power on Monday said the interruption will be due to scheduled power maintenance. 

Nairobi

The power cuts in Nairobi will affect residents of Kahawa West, Githurai and Nairobi West.

Customers to be affected in the Kahawa Sukari areas and Githurai 44 include  Zimmerman, parts of Githurai 44, Kahawa Barracks, part of Kenyatta University, part of Kahawa West, Farmers Choice and adjacent customers.

Customers to be affected in Nairobi West include part of Nairobi West, Naimey Road, ICC Church, Ghandi Avenue, Nairobi West Hospital, Kodi Road, Swara Crescent, PAA Crescent, Kifaru Crescent, Sumba Road, Msufu Road and Rio Hotel.

Others include part of Muhoho Avenue, Ole Sangale Road, Madaraka Estate, Gakuri Akure Road, Strathmore University, Keri Road, Nyayo Stadium, Masaba Road, Part of Bunyala Road, Siwaka Estate and adjacent customers.

Embu

Kenya Power said the electricity interruption in Embu County will affect residents of Embori, Kisima, Timau and Kiambogo areas.

Customers to be affected include Embori Flowers, Uhuru Flowers, Kisima Flowers, Pj Dave Ltd, Timaflor, AAA Growers, Kisima Secondary, Kongoni Farm, Mbuju Primary, Thamba Ngombe, Tambuzi, Whole of Timau Market, Kiambogo Primary, Ngusishi, Siraji, Nelion, Oldonyo, Timaflour Farms, Ethi, Ngarendare and adjacent customers.

Kiambu

Customers in Matara, Kanyoni, Gakunyi, and Gituamba areas of Kiambu County will be affected.

They include Kiriko Mission, Matara Tea Factory, Gachege Tea Factory, Ndarugu Tea Factory, Matara Dispensary, Kanyoni Market, Gicheha Market, Thrace Village, Karatu Market, Karinga Girls, Gitwe Market, Gikure Market, Ituramiru Market, Gakunyi, Gituamba Market and adjacent customers.
