Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango and his Makueni counterpart Dan Maanzo have been named the top-performing senators in 2024 in the latest survey by Infotrak
In the survey released on Tuesday, the two senators scored 52 per cent to emerge top.
Murang’a Senator Joel Nyutu and Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah both scored 50 per cent and were ranked 3rd.
Nyandarua Senator John Methu and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka followed closely with 49 per cent.
Six senators tied for the sixth spot with a score of 42 per cent.
This includes Issa Juma Boy (Kwale), Agnes Kavindu (Machakos), William Wahome (Nyeri), Allan Chesang (Trans Nzoia), Hillary Sigei (Bomet) and Wafula Wakoli (Bungoma).
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna scored 45 per cent.
The survey was based on interviews conducted between October and December 2024, covering all 47 counties with a sample size of 39,795.
The data was collected via Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) and analyzed using SPSS.
A 1-10 Likert scale was used in the survey, with 1 indicating "very poor" and 10 indicating "excellent."

It typically consists of a statement or question, followed by a set of response options that range from one extreme to another.
Respondents select the option that best reflects their feelings or opinions about the statement.
Additionally, the performance index for each senator was computed by averaging Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scores.
