The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) has begun installing state-of-the-art dancing fountains.
The move aims to improve guests' experience and promote tourist activity in the area due to the different ambiance.
The dancing fountains are set to synchronise with different types of music genres tailored for specific events, themes, or corporate branding.
“This attraction will not only captivate visitors but also serve as a unique focal point for International and local events, gala dinners, trade shows, and entertainment productions. It adds a dynamic visual and sensory element that sets Kenya apart from the competition,” KICC Chief Executive Officer James Mwaura said.
Furthermore, the centre can host family extravaganzas and other thematic events every weekend.

Mwaura said he plans to request the government to designate Saturdays for the thematic show only, by restricting road access that leads to KICC over the weekend, for the shows to take place undisrupted.
The introduction of the fountains underscores the corporation’s mission to always provide quality amenities for potential guests and clients.
“We will feature an exclusive showcase of the fountains in action, accompanied by live music and special effects. Event planners, corporate executives, and media representatives are invited to witness firsthand the breathtaking fusion of water, light, and sound,” Mwaura said.
Additionally, they also focus on business as they are developing two more products to make the Centre a conducive business ground.
“The feature is expected to be a major draw for business events, offering delegates an innovative way to create engaging experiences while at the Centre.”
An inaugural event is set to take place before the end of March this year.
