Inspired rallied to beat Boomerang 26-24 in a Kenya Handball Federation match at Nyayo Stadium Sunday.

The Hospital Hill School side, who are peaking in time for next week's national school games in Nakuru, led 15-8 at halftime.

"I started my second team and made six substitutions before half time and this gave them the edge," said the students' coach Fernwick Opicho.

"I changed tack in the second half and we picked up and played very well from there. The four league matches we played this weekend are enough preparations for Nakuru. All we need to do is to polish our mistakes ahead of the school games."

Bernin Wasike shot seven goals and Dan Ngoni five for Inspired. Moses Macharia had eight and Mendel Josephat added six for the losers.

The women's matches saw last year's runners-up, Ulinzi Sharks lead 14-2 at the breather to easily hammer Amazon 34-7.

Euphracia Mukatia bagged eight, Sarah Wasike six, Debra Nkirote five and Diana Karani four. National Cereals and Produce Board beat Net Navigators 28-23 in a tight game.

Addah Musilibi and Lenah Njeri scored eight goals apiece with Sarah Mabonga adding another six in that win.

Rampaging men's champions NCPB thrashed Boomerang 41-11 as Timothy Kirimi, Snox Collins and Robert Maranga each dropped seven goals.

Women champions Nairobi Water Queens drowned Net Navigators 40-18 as Gladys Chilo and Brenda Ariviza hit nine and seven goals respectively.

Randy Ochieng, Navigators  coach said: "We got tired a bit and then the girls lost focus before picking in the end but it was late."
