Vihiga Bullets ring changes ahead of KPL's second leg kick-off

Bullets are currently at the bottom of the league with five points after beating City Stars at Bukhungu and registering two draws against Kariobangi Sharks and Wazito FC.

Vihiga Bullets FC have signed new players to bolster the team ahead of the Kenya Premier League second leg. 

Stand-in coach Milton Kidiga said they have signed a record 19 new players to improve the team's performance following dismal results in the recent past. 

 Bullets are currently at the bottom of the league with five points after beating City Stars at Bukhungu and registering two draws against Kariobangi Sharks and Wazito FC. 

“As the stand-in tactician, I expect good results in this second leg based on the calibre of signing we have made as a club,” Kidiga said.

Kidiga said he is currently optimistic about the new signings, adding that they expect immediate reaction and improvement in position during the second leg.

Among the new players on board are—Hillary Mudoka (Luanda Villa- Division One), Norman Werunga (Shabana),  James Ochieng (Kisumu Hotstars, Division Two), Clinton Shuga (Kasarani Sports Academy) and  Leachie Odhiambo (unattached). 

Others are—Jackson Juma (Kajiado NSL) and  Thomas Barasa, David Chesol, Roeben Nyongesa, Derrick Tekkwo,  Hillary Ndombi,  Ashaduh Bugembe—all from Kona Rangers. 

James Owino and Peter Halwenje (both unattached)  and Denilson Imbayi joined the club from Shaviringa United. 

Adan Ishaq joined the club from Kakamega Homeboyz alongside team-mates Edwin Apaa and Michael Isabwa, who are switching base on loan. Completing the signings is Joseph Oyugi from APS Bomet also on loan.

Those who have exited the club include Vincent Ogolla and Enock Masiga, who joined Kakamega Homeboyz and Lucas Weitere, Brian Ochieng, and Kevin Mwavuli, who are currently at  Talanta FC.

Richard Airo joined the National Super League side, Silibwet of Bomet while Tonny Otieno decamped to Wazito FC.
