Veteran Real Madrid central midfielder Toni Kroos has finally opened up on why he cleans his boots after every training session.
The decorated former Germany international is considered one of the best midfielders of his generation because of his flexibility and scoring exploits from outside the box.
According to @AzrOrganization, Kroos cleans his boots after every training session and match. Kroos said: "My boots? The truth is it's a bit special, I have not seen another player in Real Madrid who cleans his boots every day and prepares them like that."
"My boots are the most important thing for me on the pitch, more than for other players."
Kroos has also been deployed as a deep-lying playmaker in his career. He is known for his vision, passing, creativity, crossing and set-piece ability.
Kroos has won a total of 16 trophies in his career, including three La Liga titles, four Champions League gongs, three of which he won consecutively from 2016 to 2018.
Kroos is very rarely seen attending Real Madrid's team dinner as they start late and go on till midnight,
"Toni goes early to bed in every night," @AzrOrganization adds.
Back in 2021, the German FA offered Kroos a farewell after his international retirement, but he declined it as he had training the next day in Madrid.
Kroos won the Golden Player at the 2006 Uefa European U-17 Championship, where he also finished as top goalscorer, and won the Golden Ball at the 2007 Fifa U-17 World Cup.
