Fresh from winning the Christie Sevens, Kabras are seeking to consolidate their place at the top of the standings at the Kakamega Ingo Sevens.
Felix Ayange's charges won the opening leg against all odds last weekend with a young squad and with the partisan home crowd behind them, they will fancy their chances of going all the way.
Speaking Friday, Ayange believes his young side will be full of confidence but observed they will take it one game at a time.
“ Things happen very quickly in Sevens and we can't get cocky and arrogant after winning one tournament. We must stay humble and ensure we play at our best," added Ayange.
He added: "The pressure will be on us. Everyone will want to beat us, especially, this being a home tournament for us. So we must stay ahead of the chasing pack," added Ayange.
The sugar millers are in Pool 'A' and will open their campaign against neighbours Western Bulls before facing a tricky test against Blak Blad and concluding their preliminaries against rivals Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).
Harlequins headline Pool 'B' and will come up against revitalised Nondies side, Daystar Falcons and Mwamba.
Coach Paul Murunga believes his charges can go one place better after a runner-up place at the Christie Sevens.
“The boys are in good shape and we will make a couple of changes to our style of play, improve on our weak areas and see where we end up,” added Murunga.
Catholic Monks, who were the surprise package in the opening tournament, will be aiming to continue their rich vein of form when they take on Menengai Oilers, Homeboyz, and Kisumu RFC in Pool 'C'.
Series' defending champions KCB will aim to bounce back from their poor display last week when they take Strathmore Leos, Nakuru RFC and Stallions RFC in arguably the toughest pool.
Leos coach Willis Ojal said he expects a tough contest. “It's going to be interesting with only two teams qualifying for the quarterfinals. We made it to the semifinals last weekend and the boys are in good shape and we want to build on that performance."
