Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo on Thursday presided over his first Madaraka Day celebrations since he got into office.
The event took place in Merti and was attended by hundreds of residents and leaders of the county.
In attendance were Deputy Governor James Lowasa,the county commissioner Geoffrey Omoding, Women representative Mumina Bonaya, County Assembly Speaker Mohamed Roba, chair Kentanational trade Hussein Tene, MPs and area ward representatives.
The national celebration were held in Moi Stadium, Embu County which was presided by President William Ruto to mark Kenya's 60th Madaraka Day.
