Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula now wants the national dialogue on issues affecting the country suspended.

Savula said that the dialogue should wait until the mystery of the bodies found in a dumpsite in Nairobi is resolved.

The call for a national dialogue by all stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the country by President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga has teed debate with the Gem Z rejecting the call.

Raila on Saturday defended the call for dialogue saying it will bring out the teal issues that need to be addressed for a better Kenya.

But speaking while gracing inter-school cultural and journalism competition at St. Josephs Lumino Secondary, Likuyani sub-county, Savula empathised with the saddening occurrence revealed at Mukuru Kwa Njenga saying the perpetrators must be brought to book.

"It's saddening to see mutilated bodies in sacks like what the country is witnessing now," Savula said.

The deputy governor called for independent international investigations to unravel how the girls were killed, by who and for what.

Savula alleged that the National Police Service cannot be trusted to prosecute the matter conclusively.

Savula called for private prosecution of the immediate former Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome who resigned last week and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindike for the deaths of protesters during the anti-government protests.

"Retirement of the Inspector General is not the solution enough, every Kenyan must be held responsible for their actions," Savula said.

This comes at a time when the Azimio brigade led by Raila visited on Sunday the scene where the bodies had been found in a Kware site Nairobi.

At least nine unidentified bodies have been recovered at the Kware site, as pressure piles of missing persons raise concerns in the Nation.
