In Summary


•Members are allowed to use both Kiswahili and English.

•MPs and Senators who are Christians took the oath while holding the Bible while for Muslims, the Quaran was provided.

Members of the 13th Parliament have started taking oaths of office at the National Assembly and Senate.

Alphabetical order is being used in the swearing-in. 

Also, senior members who have been part of both Houses were given first priority in terms of taking the oath.
