Parents in Nairobi and around the country have started tropping into school uniform outlets and bookshops as schools are set to reopen for the first term.
Schools across the country will reopen on January 8, 2024, next week.
They shopped for textbooks, exercise books, school shoes, and uniforms, among others.

Some raised concerns of increased prices of commodities, with little to no discounts.
"We are appealing to the government to extend our grievances to school administrations to be lenient with the parents as they juggle through and have more time to pay for school fees," Joseph Karanja said.
