KAA announces construction of additional entry and exit lanes at JKIA

The international arrivals unit at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, one of the airports the KAA has said is being by targeted by al Shabaab.

The Kenya Airports Authority on Thursday announced that it plans to carry out an expansion exercise for an additional entry and exit lanes.

The exercise is scheduled to commence on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

KAA said this is an effort to improve passenger experience at JKIA.

According to the authority, this will ease congestion and eliminate long queues at the toll stations.

"Measures are in place to ensure minimal disruption during the construction period. We appeal to all Airport users to bear with us as we strive to enhance the customer experience in and out of JKIA," KAA said in a statement.
