Nairobi residents have been asked to plan well, as Nairobi is expected to experience light rains.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Kenya Meteorological Department said most parts of the city county will be affected.
"Most parts of Nairobi especially Dagoretti South and North, Westlands, Roysambu, Kibra, Langata, Starehe, Makadara, Kamukunji, Embakasi West, Central and North, Ruaraka and Mathare to receive several showers," the statement said.
This comes a days after the weatherman announced that several parts of the country would experience rainfall for the next seven days begining December 7 to 13.
Affected counties included; Lamu, Kilifi, Kwale, Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Makueni, Kitui, Machakos, Nairobi, Garissa, Tana River, Kiambu, Nyeri, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, Nyandarua, Murang’a, Narok, Bomet, Marsabit, and Isiolo.
Occasional isolated storms were also likely to be experienced over some parts of Lamu, Kilifi, Tana River, Kitui, Makueni, Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang’a and Nyeri.
"Precaution should be taken especially for those counties which have already received or witnessed heavy rainfall," Met said.
