The election for Member of Parliament in Rongai, Nakuru county, has been suspended indefinitely.

It was alleged that the MP ballots had discrepancies.

Nakuru County IEBC manager Joseph Melle confirmed the matter but was not willing to give further information.

He said the commission will issue a communication on the matter.

Rongai MP Raymond Moi who is candidate in the race is set to issue a press statement anytime from now.

On Monday, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati suspended elections in four elective seats across the country following a mix up in the printing of ballot papers.

The elective areas include Mombasa and Kakamega counties where governor elections have been suspended until further notice.

Chebukati said this followed the realisation that details and images of the candidates were wrong.
