President William Ruto on Monday met with the Secretary-General Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) Kai Sicks, in Steglitz, Berlin.
He acknowledged the role played by DAAD in sponsoring education and research, largely in the field of science, in the country.
"The government appreciates the support extended to our Technical and Vocational Education and Training," Ruto said.
He expressed hopes in broadening the scholarship to cover trainers of trainers at the Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC).
The President, who left the country on Sunday, is on a four-day trip to Europe.
He first visited Germany before he tours Belgium.
Earlier, he met with his German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Schloss Bellevue, Berlin.
They held discussions where they agreed to tighten trade relations.
"We committed to deepening economic cooperation for mutual prosperity," Ruto added.
